It’s not just kids designer fashion either, we share our home with The Shoe Gallery whi have fabulous kids and ladies designer footwear and amazingly affordable ladieswear from Black & White Fashion.

Well I can honestly say that moving from an online only business to having our own space in a gorgeous Altrincham boutiqe was one of the best decisions we ever made. The opportunity came to us just after Christmas and within four days, we’d made the decision to go for it, packed up and moved in ready to trade from bricks and mortar!

As you can see, there’s a beautiful big space for us to fill with designer kids clothing.

I am absolutley made up with this, EdgyKid has been included in the ‘Online stores we love’ feature in Childrenswear Buyer Magazine.

Bratwurst, Gluhwein, hot chocolate, German beer, French wine, Dutch mini pancakes, coffee, cheeses, paella, goulash, Spanish chorizo – the choices were endless!

You could get your Christmas Tree or a wicker reindeer and there were so many delightful craft stalls.

Show us a kid with attitude and style and we’ll put them before our panel of judges on 20^th November 2010. This panel of judges is very special as they are all between the ages of 4 and 10.

As soon as we had the opportunity to hit the fabulous malls in Dubai, we were there, ready to shop! Of course I bought lots of toys which included a pretty doll, plastic jungle animals, colouring set, cuddly toy and probably more. I can however, clearly remember every single item I bought when I discovered IKKS kids clothing. Back then, I got to choose what my girl wore, now being four years old means a mind and style of her own….as it should be!!

I fell in love with IKKS because of the sheer cool style for kids clothing, something different without being over the top or mini versions of adult clothes and the little details that show how important design and having an edge is important to the brand. These cool kids clothes have a trendy urban style for the fashion conscious kid or parent.

I bought this gorgeous little red and white flower print sun top with the detail being a glossy red number print down the front and embroidered IKKS logo. She got a couple of years wear out of this one. I also had to have some denim Bermuda shorts with appliquéd denim flowers and a subtle glittery sheen through the denim.

Then I got a little girls cream t-shirt with a silver appliquéd design on the front and the best thing about this was the crumpled look, meaning I could just twist it up after washing and leave to dry – no ironing! Perfect for kids clothes and trendy too so I got another crumpled look top, a fresh white shirt with a drawstring tie to the waist, I loved seeing her in this.

Finally, I couldn’t walk away without buying this beautiful tiered silky dress, ideal for partywear or thrown on with denims for play.

So this is how my love for all things IKKS began and continues!

These are just some of my favourites for boys and girls from our current range.

I’ve met lots of people this week building up to their plans for parties, family get togethers and the end of a rather long fast. Many want to see in the New Year with new clothes, especially for the children.

Kids absolutely love looking forward to a party and the whole getting ready for the party thing adds to their excitement. They want to look good and feel special and as parents we take great pleasure in seeing that happy look when the outfit is chosen.

Girls love a pretty dress to make them feel special and in the party mood.

This girl’s designer party dress is just stunning, teamed with a pair of cropped leggings and a high fashion shirt worn as a jacket gives a fresh, young and super stylish look from Jean Bourget.

A gorgeous brightly coloured flower print makes this girls tea dress on trend and still cute enough for kids. The soft cotton voile fabric gives a light floaty feel and the detail in the puffed sleeves and pin tuck front gives a delightful vintage feel from French designer brand IKKS.

A modern take on the tutu skirt, so popular among little girls today. This playful silk skirt has a designer edge and a gorgeous peachy colour. The appliquéd A-line top is a perfect match. Another delicious outfit from kids clothes designers Jean Bourget.

Boys just want to look cool and will most likely be the one’s running along and sliding on their knees across a wooden floor! A good pair of designer jeans would allow this to be acceptable….I think.

A pair of gorgeous linen checked jean style trousers worn with a crisp cotton shirt and a v-neck tank top makes this boy the coolest dude at the party. Not forgetting the must have jacket all from Jean Bourget.

Too cool to be true is this fashionable check shirt from IKKS. Roll up the sleeves and check out the printed message on the back, it’s all about living, laughter and love. The designer jeans to slide across the floor in!

For a bit of a smarter look, this shirt only looks like it has a tie, made with a gorgeous textured fabric. Complete the look with a pair of skinny stone coloured trousers. Both brought to you by boutique brand You by Mo.

We’ve got six capsule collections to look at, three for the boys and three for the girls.

The Boys Colour Collection is full of bright printed t-shirts, the best designer jeans from Jean Bourget and a gorgeous hooded top from IKKS to throw on with anything.

The Girls Colour Collection has the prettiest maxi dress from French Connection Kids, some pink and the softest denim skirt from Mexx.

Seriously, the Boys Cool Collection is for a real dude. Linen cargos, Eagle print t-shirt and one of my favourite shirts from IKKS.

Girls Fresh Collection gives that fresh feeling from whites and marl greys with a splash of red. The utility dress has the most divine collar and so comfortable too especially with some cropped leggings.

I love the yellow bermuda shorts from Jean Bourget in the Boys Racing Collection It also has the coolest waterproof bomber jacket from IKKS, check out the back to see what I mean.

This one’s called the Girls JB Collection because they are all from Jean Bourget. It’s just such a gorgeous set of clothes that all goes so well together, I couldn’t resist.

My name is Prim; I have one wonderful 4 year old daughter called Macy, one soul mate called Paul, one cat called Indi and one business called EdgyKid.
